Assignment 5 building supply problem

You have been tasked with writing a program for a building supply company.  They want to encourage their customers to make large purchases ($500 or more) and to pay cash.  To do this they have set up a discount system for their customers to use.   If a customer pays cash they get a 10 percent discount.  If the customer pays cash and the order is $500 or more they get an additional 20 percent off their order.  If their customer uses a credit card the only discount they provide is a 5 percent discount for orders that are $500 or more.  Sales tax is 5 percent.  They want to be able to see the initial amount of the order, the the amount of cash discount, the amount of 200 and over discount, total amount of discounts, the subtotal (initial order minus the discount), the amount of sales tax and the grand total.  Warning:   When a future coder must change your code and they are looking for a specific number to change (ie cash discount increases to 5%) be sure to assign constant values at the start of your program

Test Data (2 different examples and their outcomes) use these values to test your code:

$500 dollar order paid in cash:

Order amount: $500.00
Cash Discount: $50.00
Over500 Discount: $100.00
total Discount: $150.00
Subtotal: $350.00
Tax: $17.50
Total: $367.50

$50 dollar order paid by credit:

Order amount: $50.00
Cash Discount: $0.00
Over500 Discount: $0.00
total Discount: $0.00
Subtotal: $50.00
Tax: $2.50
Total: $52.50

You must do four things with the problem:

1.  Develop a problem statement (using notepad):
    a.  Assumptions
    b.  Input
    c.  Calculations
    d.  Output

2.  Write a human algorithm (step by step process for solving this problem.  Remember you must make each step simple, don't try and combine steps, break everything down to it's simplest form (using notepad).  Remember your first steps should be to assign constants.  ie "Cash discount = ...).

3.  Flow Chart:  Use visual logic.  With visual logic you will have to create a picture of your  flowchart.  Click on view, create metafile to include in word document.  You can import the metafile into word.  You can also just upload the visual logic file and leave it out of the word document.

4.  Create the VB Script that will solve this problem using html kit.
